In terms of both tent-pole releases & smaller indies.. TO THE WONDER like all of Malick's limited filmography, is not for everybody. It's deliberately paced & edited to say the least. But I'm highly sensitive to the visual poets & his iconic (influential now overly borrowed) flow of voiceover. I was very surprised at first to see UPSTREAM on your 'Worst Of.' but then I remembered your review & things you took issue with. That one is just a cinematic Rorschach test to most I talk with about itWandering Imagehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07797548606889173641noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1235836958252933850.post-68050163338316901212014-01-02T15:45:37.809-08:002014-01-02T15:45:37.809-08:00Why am I the first person to leave a comment on th...Why am I the first person to leave a comment on this post?! Not because I agree with all of it, but because it is so uniquely YOU. There are A LOT of movies I haven’t seen in your Top 30. To the Wonder is a bold choice and has fast tracked my desire to watch the film ASAP. Of those that I have watched, I enjoyed all of them with one exception.

You can read my entry to find out what that one is. This is a positive post my friend so let’s bond over our mutual love of great films!!

Happy 2014!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
